Alpha Recruitment are looking for an Estimator for a Temp to Perm role in Barnsley, S75.
The Role: Our client is looking for a high-volume Drylining Estimator to act as the "bid engine" for their pre-construction team. We need someone who can live in Bluebeam Revu, transforming complex architectural PDFs into precise, competitive tenders at speed.
Job Description:
- Start date: ASAP
- Rate: £30k+
- Hours: 8hrs on site
- Duration: Temp to Perm
- Requirements: Drylining, SFS, Plastering, Fit outs experience.
Requirements:
- Drylining Specialist: A "bottom-up" understanding of metal stud, plasterboard types, and finishing.
- Bluebeam Proficiency: Experience in digital take-offs (Legends, Markups List, and Custom Columns).
- Speed & Accuracy: The ability to work under pressure and hit tight tender deadlines.
- Commercial Awareness: Understanding of wastage factors, labour-loadings, and current material market rates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Bluebeam Power User: Perform rapid-fire digital take-offs using Tool Chests, Dynamic Fill, and Quantity Link to ensure zero data-entry errors.
- The "Drylining Gut-Check": Use your background in internal systems to spot where a drawing misses a fire-rated deflection head or a specific acoustic seal that could blow the budget.
- Volume Output: Successfully manage a high-intensity tender pipeline, "pumping out" multiple accurate submissions per week without sacrificing quality.
- Live Excel Integration: Export markup totals to formatted Excel workbooks to generate final pricing for partitions, MF ceilings, and SFS packages.
- Value Engineering: Suggest alternative internal systems that meet fire/acoustic specs but provide our client with a competitive edge.
