NOW RECRUITING: IRATA LEVEL 3 SUPERVISOR
Alpha Recruitment is looking for an experienced IRATA Level 3 Supervisor to oversee rope access teams on industrial maintenance projects, shutdowns and outages across the UK.
Location: Scunthorpe, with travel to sites nationwide

Pay Rates:
- Deployed rate
- Yard rate
- 22 days' paid annual leave plus statutory bank holidays
The Role:
We are looking for a confident, experienced IRATA Level 3 to lead and manage rope access teams on industrial maintenance projects, shutdowns and outages.
You will be responsible for supervising operatives, maintaining high safety standards, coordinating site activities and ensuring work is completed efficiently and safely.
*You must be willing to work away from home at short notice.*
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate rope access technicians during shutdowns, outages and maintenance projects.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, risk assessments and method statements.
- Maintain high standards of safety, professionalism and workmanship.
- Deliver toolbox talks and ensure PPE is used and maintained correctly.
- Check plant, machinery, tools and equipment before and after use.
- Coordinate mobilisation and demobilisation of equipment.
- Attend operational, safety and client meetings.
- Carry out regular inspections and quality control checks.
- Ensure work packs and timesheets are completed accurately.
- Train, mentor and motivate team members.
- Maintain clear communication with clients and management.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
- In-date IRATA Level 3 qualification.
- Proven knowledge of rope access equipment and procedures.
- Industrial shutdown experience, preferably in energy-from-waste facilities, steel plants or foundries.
- CCNSG Safety Passport & Confined Space Medium.
- Full, clean driving licence.
- Valid first aid certificate.
- Strong leadership, communication and team management skills.
- Good computer literacy.
- Willingness to travel and work away at short notice.
Desirable qualifications:
- IOSH.
- LATS or SSSTS.
- Current High Risk Confined Space and Rescue qualifications.
