Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Manual Machinist or Toolmaker to join a busy engineering workshop in Sheffield.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating manual lathes and milling machines, producing precision components and working to engineering drawings and specifications.
This is initially a 3-month temporary position, with the opportunity to become permanent for the right candidate.
Start date: ASAP
Contract: 3-month temporary position, with the potential to go permanent.
Pay Rate (PAYE): £16–£18 per hour, depending on experience and ability.
Hours: 38 hours per week.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Manual Machinist or Toolmaker.
- Confident operating manual lathes and milling machines.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Experience manufacturing and machining precision components.
- Good knowledge of machining processes and tools.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
